The memory extraction system has infrastructure (DB tables, LLM prompts, unit closeout wiring, embedding backfill) but zero processed units and only self-feedback-resolution memories. This suggests extraction is failing silently. Add debugLog() calls throughout extractMemoriesFromUnit() so we can observe: - Skip reasons (mutex busy, rate limited, already processed, file too small) - Start/done lifecycle per unit - LLM call and parse outcomes - Error messages on failure and retry This makes the extraction pipeline observable via --debug or the journal/debug log without changing behavior.
